Who knew the fig is actually an inside out flower? People have been growing figs since at least 5000 BC and they were an important source of food for the ancient Greeks and Romans. BlissHome's factory in Italy has created evocative images of the humble fig by hand spongeing with a reactive glaze - due to the hand made decoration, all pieces will be slightly different and unique. 

The decoration and creation of the ceramics is all done with incredible care. In a mountain-filled town in Italy, a family of artisan ceramists work together in their own factory, producing the high quality earthenware items using techniques handed down through the generations.
